What's in a Name?

Many Westerners find themselves born into an animal year that does not sound particularly flattering to them. A sign such as the Dragon, sounds so regal and important, while other signs, the Pig for instance, seem somehow less impressive. But each animal designation has an important and needed place in the universe.

Eastern astrology differs from western astrology in its manner of thinking. This knowledge is not so much a predictive science, as a practical philosophy and interpretive art.

I personally will not to tell another person what they must or must not do on Monday the 12th, or whether death, separation, or fortune is indicated. What I can tell you, is the quite fascinating characteristics and possibilities which your birth year has bestowed upon you, and help you to define your character traits and fundamental nature. The person who has this basic understanding of themselves and those around them, has an excellent chance at directing and molding their own destiny & life choices.

Let the insights gained by the study of Chinese Astrology help you to understand yourself and others better. So, do not worry if you were born into a less than flashy sign. As the Chinese say, "this is the animal that hides in your heart."

Your faithful yet pessimistic Earth Dog,
Shelly Wu
